Concrete Driveways in Bridgeview, IL
Out with the old slab. New base. Steel. Thick concrete. One written price.
Fix What Failed. Then Pour.
Driveways tell you why they failed. Sunk at the garage? Soft fill underneath. Cracked down the middle? Too thin or joints too far apart. Flaking surface? Salt on concrete that was not cured right. A new slab poured the old way fails the old way. So we start under it. First the jackhammer. Then the dump truck. Soft ground is dug out. Crushed limestone goes in and gets tamped in layers. Steel is set on chairs. The slab is thicker than a walk or patio, typically 5 to 6 inches, set by your soil and your vehicles, with extra depth at the apron where the plow and the tires hit hardest. Top surface sloped for meltwater. Broomed for grip. Joints cut on a plan. Cured before cars. A lot of Bridgeview drives are the originals from when the house was built. If yours is one, it is worth doing right. Every step above is a line on your price, plus our 8-month warranty for cracks bigger than 1/8 inch, which we fill with a concrete repair sealant.
